GREAT NEWS! Elmo has impressed an Australian judge at Northland 31/01/10). He has acheived BEST IN GUNDOG GROUP! All the work and persistence has paid off. Much thanks to our friends and supporters, we couldn't do it without you. Thanks to KIWILINE PHOTOGRAPHY.
Elmo just happened to stay with us as a youngster and what a fine thing it turned out to be. He has always had a special character and some good looks to go with it. It has been fun watching him grow and find his feet in life and in the showring. He enjoys himself as much as he can and has a knack of adopting new homes and hearts whereever he goes.
As a Baby Puppy he was critiqued by judge Carole Coode 'Warringah Sussex Spaniels'(Eng) "Nice head on this puppy. Has good angles front and rear. Excellent legs and feet. Good depth of chest and loin strong. Moves soundly front and rear." 2 Feb 2008.
Elmo attended his first National Dog Show Sept 2008 in Christchurch and secures Best of Breed.
As a Junior he was critiqued by judge Jenny Miller 'Feorlig English Springers '(Eng) "Nice head. Nice dark eye. Lovely neck to well laid shoulders. Good breed top line. Nice tail. Good front and rear angulation. Good depth of chest. Well ribbed and bodied. Lovely overall balance, good height to length. Excellent presentation. Nice coat and feathering. Good sound mover both front and rear. Nice size stride. Very nice sound dog." 31 Jan 2009
2009 Eukanuba National Dog Show, October in Fielding and Elmo again manages to take the title of Best of Breed!
Auckland Spaniel Club Champ Show 24 Oct 2009. Elmo steps up the game a bit this time taking INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW under judge Mr Eugene Phoa 'Whittershams' Cocker Spaniels'(Can). He is maturing well.
Taranaki Gundog Club 28 Nov 2009 sees his best result yet, RESERVE IN SHOW under judge Sylvia Brackman (NSW) a Welshie specialist who recognised and appreciated his breed conformation.
