AmigoReal Ace of Spades
"Ace"
Even at the tender age of eight weeks, Ace captured the hearts of many, with numerous inquiries pouring in from both local and overseas admirers, including as far as the USA. We feel deeply honored by the attention and the kind comments that we have received about this beautiful boy.
In fact, some have even described Ace as a potential future show dog, drawing comparisons to his Grandsire, the International and Multi Champion Neo Fabulous Super Rich, also known as Showry. We are immensely proud of Ace's pedigree and is excited to see his journey unfold, as he grows into a magnificent Chihuahua, hopefully following in the footsteps of his esteemed ancestors.

Over the past year, we have been gradually introducing Ace with the show atmosphere by attending local shows and providing him with dedicated show ring training to cultivate a positive attitude. As of March 2023, Ace has participated in three weekends of shows, and we have observed significant progress in terms of his comfort and enjoyment in the ring. While he has not yet achieved a placement beyond Reserve Dog, the feedback from judges has been highly encouraging, indicating that Ace possesses excellent quality and has the potential to excel in shows with further training and support.
We remain fully committed to Ace's happiness and well-being above all else, and will continue to support him in his show endeavors while always considering his preferences and comfort level. The focus is on ensuring that Ace is comfortable and relaxed in the show ring, and efforts will continue to be made to help him reach his full potential while prioritising his welfare.
Despite not having been regularly shown in the ring and achieving outstanding results at this point, Ace's desirability as a stud is unquestionable. Local and international breeders alike are expressing great interest in harnessing his exceptional qualities and gentle temperament to elevate the quality of their own kennel lines.
Ace recently participated in the FCI Show on April 10, 2023, where he was awarded a rating of "Very Good". The judge's feedback noted that Ace exhibited some tenseness, and carried this tail low which influenced his rating. However, Ace was acknowledged for his lovely type, overall soundness, and exceptional movement, particularly in his coming and going. We deeply appreciate the feedback, as it instills optimism in us for Ace's ongoing development and success in the show ring.
To maintain the progress, we participated in the King's Birthday weekend All-Breeds Open Shows, and we received some incredible feedback.
In the first show, Ace achieved the titles of Reserve Dog and Intermediate of Breed/Group. Once again, his low confidence and tail remained the biggest challenges.
In the second show, he was honored as Best Dog and received the Reserve Best of Breed title. When the BOB Chihuahua was awarded Best in Group, Ace was called in, where the judge asked if he would put his tail up for someone else (as it was down this time) which is a no. Nonetheless, the judge had him go around to give it a try, in the hopes he would bring it up but no change, and the Reserve of Group title was awarded to another breed. Despite not securing the Reserve of Group, he did secure Intermediate of Group which sent him in for the Intermediate in Show, and this time he proudly put his tail up!
He was ultimately awarded the Intermediate in Show title! Ace has come a long way, and I am genuinely grateful for the judge's kind remarks. The judge mentioned that Ace was their top choice in the breed, but he needs to be more confident, which I completely understand. I thank the judge for recognizing his quality, even though we still have some work ahead of us to improve his show confidence.
