Brooklin is PHPT negative by descent. He is clear of the gene carrying the PHPT disease (primary hyperparathyroid).
He has been fully health tested at 34mths of age: Eyes (eye cert by specialist) normal, Cardiac (auscultation) normal, Thyroid normal, Hips (PennHIP scored) excellent, Patella normal, Elbows failed 2/2 , and is also DNA parentage profiled.
Note: NOT at stud - due to elbow dysplasia. Elbow dysplasia is a genetic ailment, so breeders are encouraged not to use affected dogs in their breeding programs. Furthermore, dogs which have tested 0/0 yet have siblings who have tested as dysplastic, will have a very high risk of producing dysplastic progeny. Elbow dysplasia leads to the development of elbow osteoarthritis, which creates pain and a lameness in the front leg of affected dogs.
VALE 18/08/2017 - 24/06/2024 aged 6yrs 10mths. Died from chronic kidney disease.
