Our dogs are part of the family weekdays and show dogs on the weekends. We simply enjoy doing things with them. Our main focus is on Conformation showing, but our dogs are also successfully competing in other Dog Sports; Scent Work, Rally-O, Obedience & Agility. We have dogs titled in every discipline by us or their owners.

We only breed when looking for another dog to join our team and puppies we don't keep are available to the best of family homes. We aim to breed happy healthy performance and companion cockers who will bring joy to their owners. More than anything cockers love to be your best friend - joining in with all your family activities, but are also highly successful and easily trained for competitive Breed Showing, Obedience Rally-O, Scent Work and Agility.

As a responsible breeder all puppies are Dogs NZ registered and parents DNA tested for PRA-prcd, FN, EIC & PKF and AON. You can be sure that no puppy we breed will be affected by these diseases. We provide lifetime support for every puppy we breed. We have been exhibiting at dog shows and breeding for over 50 yrs.
We take pride in producing sound quality puppies with lovely temperaments that adjust into their new families lives with ease, giving years of love and enjoyment.
We do the full DNA test which includes PRA and FN to ensure we do not carry those problems in our breeding.
We have bred and imported many top winning dogs that have won all breed Championship Best in Show and Reserve in Show, plus many Best of Group ,and many Best in Show Ch Specialty Shows.
Some of our bloodlines imported have come from UK, Sweden, Hungary, and Australia
These dogs plus other top winning dogs in our bloodlines have all taken their part in the soundness,lovely temperament and quality in the breeding of the puppies we are producing now.

Rigaya Kennels (est.1990). I have had a cocker since I was 5 years of age, as my Grandmother bred and showed under the prefix Mowacre Kennels.in the 50/60/70s.
We are a small kennel based in Pukekohe (south of Auckland). I have made up home bred champions and champions from other kennels,both from New Zealand and Overseas - roans and solids, as time has allowed, as my three children grew to adulthood.Now my grand children also get to have the experience of having a Cocker Spaniel to grow up with

Occasional litters are from DNA Health tested lineage, incorporating Australian, English and Swedish lines. Friendly, outgoing temperaments a number one priority. Colours Blue roan, orange roan and black/white.
I have been a member of The Auckland Spaniel Club from the time of Registering my Kennel prefix.

Situated in Carterton, in the Wairarapa region in the lower North Island of NZ I have bred occasional litters of blue roan Cocker Spaniels over the last 25 years, some of which have become Champions in the show ring, some have performed with distinction in obedience and agility, but first and foremost have been treasured pets.

Litters are carefully planned incorporating imported lines from the UK and Australia.

My cockers are DNA tested and puppies are raised in the home on premium food and with maximum attention to give the best start in life.

Flintlock Kennels

Is only a small kennel, located in the green hills of Hawkes Bay, breeding solid cockers. I breed Gold, Black and Black & tan.

All our cockers are DNA tested for PRA-prcd and FN so no puppy I breed, will ever have these diseases. I pride myself in the temperment of my puppies I breed.
