Avila Aristocrat
At the time he was born I had an accident and fractured my femur, and it was a two year process healing and having pins and screws removed. So Sonny didn't get to any shows.
When I recovered I had several lovely dogs waiting in the wings to be shown, others from the same bloodlines as well, so after me having another two more accidents and two separate torn knee meniscuses, and minimal showing in between finally Sonny has just got to his first ever Championship show day at 7 yrs old on the 28th September 2024!
He was awarded BEST OF BREED at AUCKLAND SPANIEL CLUB 90th Anniversary show. Our judge was David Bell UK.
And on the same day he was awarded RES OF BREED at EAST COAST GUNDOG SOCIETY. Our judge was Jennifer Millard, UK
Everything was new to Sonny , but he soon worked out what it was all about ,and I am hoping to get to many more Championship shows with him. (I was limping around the show ring with him at the time with another injury!) The love of our dogs and our sport makes us keep going!!
