Waitohu Golden Retrievers is located in Otaki (about one hour north of Wellington). Our dogs are primarily pets, the latest in a long line of golden retrievers we have been owned by going back thirty years or more. They live with us in our home on a five-acre lifestyle block with daily adventures in the nearby rivers, beaches and forests.
Building on the work of Keridale and Mistymoor kennels, our aim is to breed healthy, confident golden retriever puppies that will make great family pets but that are also suitable for obedience/agility training and/or the show ring.
All our dogs are registered with DogsNZ and are fully health tested, with good hip and elbow scores, comprehensive DNA testing for inheritable disorders, clear eye tests (annually), and clear heart checks.
