Our Rottweilers are a well loved part of our family so their temperament and health are top priority. We only breed with Rottweilers that are champions either in NZ or Australia and that are thoroughly health tested including hips, elbows, heart, eyes, JLPP, DNA profiling, Long coat gene, Von Willenbrands, eye + dental. Our puppies are well socialised with people of all ages (especially children) and are exposed to as many new experiences to prepare them for their new homes. From 5 weeks of age they are travelled to socialise and exposed to a multitude or strange sounds, and new environments.
Breeders of multiple best in show winners, specialty best in show winners, and best of group winners. We have 27 years of experience in movement and conformation.
The Moya team in Tasmania has achieved 1 Aust Supreme Ch and 2 AUst Ch all with working titles also. Exporting a specialty with puppies in Hawaii, Singapore, Australia and Hong Kong.
Breeder of 36 NZ Champions,5 Aust Champions, 2 dual Champions. TD titled , obedience and agility titles.
We have a very exciting litter using frozen semen from Europe later in the year.

Welcome to Taumata Rottweilers. Our kennel is located in the city of Invercargill which is in the beautiful South Island of New Zealand and is owned by Bill Patterson and Wiki Te Tau.
Bill is the only person to date that has obtained the title of NZ Obedience Champion with two Rottweilers. His dogs have also obtained many working titles of schutzhund and IPO. Including SchH3. In 2015 Bill competed with his dog Brando in the Rottweilers world championship show in Nis Serbia.
Our goal is to breed beautiful and stable Rottweilers with good nerves and excellent working drives. These Rottweilers are as comfortable on the training ground or as well as home companions. As you will see from our pedigrees we have sourced our dogs from some of the best dogs available and have imported dogs and semen from Europe. We have imported many dogs over the years and that has helped us win on the sports field as well as in the conformation ring .We have our progeny from Europe to Asia and Australia.

We go to great lengths to provide our clients with the best puppy that is suitable for their home environment We ensure that we match the needs of the new owner with the right puppy, so whether you require a home companion, show or sport dog there will be a puppy that suits your requirements

We have a modern kennel facility and our dogs live on a ten acre farm which includes facilities for advanced training. We also offer temperament assessment and training programmes for all breeds of dogs

MKK Rottweilers are under the guidance and help of, Central Rottweiler Club lnc, and some of the larger established Rottweiler kennels from New Zealand for our breeding programme, by bringing excellent international pedigree's into New Zealand.

Our aim first and foremost is to have well rounded correct stable Rottweilers, with excellent temperament and nerves.

For us personally we would like to improve on our dogs we already have to be able to compete in the conformation ring with a stronger showing than we have now and some beautiful family pets along the way.

We are located in the beautiful Hawkes bay on a lifestyle block just west of Hastings in a small rural village of Maraekakaho hence our name MKK which is the locals hyphenate for Maraekakaho, with the picturesque back drop of vineyards the mighty Ngaruroro river and Ruahine rangers
